API keys
Create a key, choose its permissions and send it with every request.
API V1 and API V2 use the same API keys. The CDN API uses separate CDN keys, which belong to a project. See the CDN API reference.
Create a key
Follow How to create an API key in the Help Center. When you create a key, you can:
- set an expiration date (optional);
- choose its permissions for the workspace and its projects.
Copy the key right away: LingoHub shows it only once. New keys start with lh-api_. Older keys that start with lingo_ keep working.
Send the key
Pass the key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header:
curl https://api.lingohub.com/v2/api-key \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LINGOHUB_API_KEY"GET /v2/api-key returns the key's own scope and effective permissions, so it's a quick way to check a new key. The same header works for API V1:
curl https://api.lingohub.com/v1/projects \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LINGOHUB_API_KEY"Keep keys safe
- Store keys in a secret manager or CI secret, never in source code.
- Give each integration its own key, with only the permissions it needs.
- Delete a key in the workspace settings as soon as it's no longer needed or may have leaked.
