Replaces all push defaults and message templates of an existing connection; connection, sync modes, schedules, filters and branching are unchanged. Every field is required. Equal values write nothing. Optional If-Match checks the complete GET representation under project/authentication/configuration locks with current permission rechecked. Actual changes record an audit/event and reset ON_COMPLETION evaluations for the existing settle window; other modes clear obsolete evaluations. ON_COMPLETION requires at least one automatic branch kind enabled. This stores configuration, without contacting the provider or promising push success. Jobs lacking explicit overrides may use these defaults when their worker resolves them, including already queued jobs. Existing job records are not rewritten. Placeholders are expanded and PR branch templates normalized by the push worker. The transformed PUT omits ETag; GET again for a validator. Requires project-level settings management permission.
