Update a resource

Partially updates the resource identified by the given ID (JSON merge-patch). Only fields present in the request body are changed; omitted fields are left unchanged. Renaming the path also moves the resource and its sub-resources within the branch. Returns the full updated resource. Requires project-level resource management permission.

Path Params
string
required
^rc_[0-9a-fA-F]{8}-[0-9a-fA-F]{4}-[0-9a-fA-F]{4}-[0-9a-fA-F]{4}-[0-9a-fA-F]{12}$

Unique identifier of the resource.

Body Params

Request body to partially update a resource (PATCH, JSON merge-patch). Only fields present in the request body are changed; omitted fields are left unchanged. Renaming the path also moves the resource and its sub-resources within the branch.

string
length between 1 and 4096

New full path of the resource within the branch: relative, segments separated by /, the last one naming the resource. No empty or .. segment, no segment longer than 255 characters. A file path must retain %{locale} somewhere in the path. When its basename combines %{locale} with other text, use %{language_code_separator} as the separator, for example messages%{language_code_separator}%{locale}.json. Keep an extension allowed by the resource's format. A folder path does not need a locale placeholder.

string
length between 1 and 256

New separator used between the file name and the language code. Cannot be blank.

Headers
string

Optional precondition. Send the quoted ETag from a GET of this resource. The mutation only runs if a strong tag matches the current representation, checked under the write lock. A comma-separated list is allowed; '*' requires an existing representation. Weak tags never match. Omit this header for an unconditional write. For an action, use the ETag from GET of the target resource, without the action suffix. A stale tag returns 412; read the current state before retrying.
